Not far from the monastery Prečista Krajinska in Ostros, there is a well 12 meters deep

Not far from the monastery Prečista Krajinska in Ostros, there is a well 12 meters deep (height above the ground is one meter) which is believed to date from 1001.
Not far away, the well is reached by a paved path, where you can see the remains of stone slabs.
The origin of the well is dated to Prince Vladimir of Duklja and his wife Kosara.
Legend says that Prince Vladimir “flew” on a horse, which then struck the ground with its hooves, and in the middle of the waterless area, a source of living water was duged.
The old well in Ostros is protected as a cultural asset, and this significant witness of the earliest past, still supplies the population with water.
